Becoming a new patient at Dr. Curtis' office is easy --
just ask your dentist for a referral or call us directly.

First Visit:

Consultation Visit

Dr. Curtis will examine the teeth and explain the current
 and expected future orthodontic problems.


He will recommend treatment options or advise to wait for further growth or eruption of teeth.
Your questions about orthodontic treatment will be answered and information about fees and payment plans discussed.

There is no charge for this visit.

If limited treatment is necessary you will be scheduled for appliance placement at your next appointment.

If comprehensive treatment is necessary (full braces) you will be scheduled for a records appointment.
At the records appointment photos and models of the teeth are made, as well as necessary x-rays and a comprehensive oral examination.

Second Visit:

Third Visit:

Case Presentation

 

At the case presentation appointment the
details of treatment will be discussed in depth.

Any further questions about orthodontic treatment
 can then be answered.

Separators (spacers) are usually placed at this appointment to prepare for the bonding appointment.

The bonding appointment usually takes places about a week following the placement of separators.

Brackets and wires will be placed at this visit.

Specific instructions regarding the care of your teeth and the braces are given at this time.

 

Fourth Visit:

Band and Bond

 

At this point in time you are well on your way to the beautiful smile you desire.
Typically visits will be scheduled every 4-6 weeks to properly adjust and maintain the braces.
